Welcome to Mike´s Place

Hello and welcome to my site. I was born in Leeds, Yorkshire and have lived in Southern Baden, Germany since the mid 80's. This is a beautiful part of the world, great climate, excellent wine and surrounded by mountains ...France is 15 minutes, Switzerland half an hour from my home, ideal for the biker / photographer.

As I think that motorbikes and photography really go together well, I shall show some of my efforts to capture the landscape of the southern Black Forest area.

In addition I shall have photos, news and links from my home county of Yorkshire  ...

  Good News! The beautiful and historic Clifford's Tower area of York has been saved, for now anyway. The dreadful Coppergate plan was thrown out following a succesful campaign in York and world-wide. For more info please read this report and also visit the  Castle Area Campaign Group   whose efforts to put a stop to this disfigurement of our heritage were so successful
